  1. If your payment is late by more than 30 days, you’ll be charged 5% of your tax.
  2. Being 6 months late with the payment results in a penalty of 5% of the outstanding tax.
  3. Being 12 months late with the payment leads to an additional penalty of 5% of the outstanding tax at that time.

Remember, you have the option to appeal against a penalty if you have a reasonable excuse.
